Cathy Kirvin, R.N.

Genetic Cancer Screening
Cathryn Kirvin, R.N., risk-screening counselor, is a registered nurse with over 35 years of experience and holds certifications in nursing, oncology and genetics. She has been involved in the field of cancer genetic screening since 1997, when the technology first became commercially available.

She has presented seminars at numerous symposiums on cancer and genetics. Ms. Kirvin is a member of the International Society of Nurses in Genetics, Cancer Genetics Group; Oncology Nursing Society, Cancer Genetics Special Interest Group; and a past member of the 2000 Florida Cancer Genetics Network, Steering Committee. She is a graduate of St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from C.W. Post College in New York.
