The PBCI Foundation is active in several critical areas of cancer treatment in the community. The PBCI Foundation, through its Sari Asher Center for Integrative Cancer Care (Also known as the Sari Center), currently offers an array of complementary and integrative therapies for those fighting cancer.  These therapies include acupuncture, therapeutic massage, psychotherapy, educational programs for healthcare professionals and the public, fitness/exercise programs, nutrition counseling, and other services that address the whole person.  The Sari Center is located in the Victor Farris building in West Palm Beach.

The PBCI Foundation also provides genetic screening and counseling to cancer patients and their families; supports cancer patients with financial assistance when appropriate; and provides financial support to other non-profit organizations for cancer-related activities. Importantly, the PBCI Foundation offers these services on a community-wide basis.

The PBCI Foundation’s other new initiative is the development of a BioBank which will store tissue and serum specimens for cancer-related research.

Our existing programs and the new initiatives reflect our community's collective responsibility to improve the lives of its residents. The PBCI Foundation welcomes you to join with us.

About Us

The PBCI Foundation is a Florida non-profit organization governed by a Board of Directors drawn from the community and managed by a president and small staff. The PBCI Foundation (formerly named the Southeast Cancer Research Foundation), has existed for over twenty years, in one form or another. However, when the Palm Beach Cancer Institute was formed in 2003, the Foundation was renamed and reorganized. In 2006, the PBCI Foundation received a generous gift from a local family with the request that it be used as a “seed” investment to initiate bold new programs in the community in the area of cancer treatment and research.
